With most of the world shut down due to the pandemic, twenty-twenty became one of the worst years for small businesses worldwide. Many struggled to keep their doors open, while others have closed their doors permanently. Those of us that managed to stay afloat are hurting, but we are grateful to have survived. For Third Culture Creative, twenty-twenty became a year of reflection and a time to reevaluate what we stand for as a company.
Our philosophy is to find solutions to help creative people succeed by pushing boundaries, creating innovative content, and offering affordable classes & a variety of services that cater to our individual client-based needs. Unfortunately, social distancing has made it increasingly challenging to provide many of our services. Still, it has also opened new avenues & opportunities for us to work creatively. Before I jump into some of the highlights from 2020, I want to take some time to reflect on a few of the positive things we would not have been able to accomplish had it been business as usual.
Once our heads stopped spinning from the news that a pandemic was turning the world, as we know it, upside down, we began to realize that things were not going to change anytime soon, so what did that mean for 3CC? With most of the world online we began to focus our attention on learning new skills, improving existing ones, and finding ways to expand our client base outside of one-on-one networking. Having this time to explore new avenues proved to be successful, and we are looking forward to sharing what we discovered with you hiccups and all. We will be offering unique and affordable online workshops and actor packages that include everything you need to start the new year off on the right foot with a brand new headshot, website, & reel.
Those of you who follow Third Culture Creative understand that we have several scripts in development, some of which were nearing the production phase towards the end of 2019. While we were saddened that we could not go into production in twenty-twenty, we are proud to say this did not deter us from our overall objective. We continued making headway in the pre-productions phase tightening the script and making connections that will make production much more manageable.
Now it's time to look back on a few of the highlights from 2020. Third Culture Creative is proud to have been aboard the mob-comedy feature, The Families Feud, as an associate producer, COVID-Compliance officer, and props master. We are pleased to announce that we have a recurring client with a LI studio on a cooking show. We wrote, shot, and edited a short film inspired by the lockdown, which was part of the Lower East Festival. The film will act as a treatment for a feature now in development. We completed an interactive scripted/unscripted play that will be read aloud for the first time in early 2021. We built a brand new website for Third Culture Creative and made powerful new relationships, which have opened new doors.
